24K bullion (bars and coins) is .9999 fine gold, the purest form, and is priced closely to the live gold market. 18K jewellery is 75% gold (stamped 750), mixed with other metals to make it harder and more durable for everyday wear. Bullion is usually bought for its gold content; 18K jewellery is made to be worn and gifted.

Both are high-purity (.9999 fine, 24K) gold. Bars, such as Royal Canadian Mint bars, come in set weights like 1 oz.
